My project to buy a classic Mustang (68er), import it from the States to Constance at the Lake of Constance in Germany and have it restored by a local garage.

Status update I
There is not much progress going on since the last post. But this time I got more pictures.

Let's get the work started I
The work has started and here are some pics of the current state. The engine is still the original one with 4,9 l, but it will be replaced. Also with 4,9 l - but different. Really different.
A lot of things look already good e.g. the paint will stay as it is and also all the chrome parts. I also decided to keep the wheel rims.
The interior has been pulled out and what's underneath does not look too bad. There is a whole that has to be welded and the interior will be insulated.
This is just a preview. This post will be updated, when I get the pics from Klaus who took some more.
Here is the update.
This will be the engine that should run inside the car.
The interior has been pulled out and is waiting for it's rework in the shelf.

Can touch this
Yes! It's here and I got a first look.
The damage at the back looks worse than it actually is, said the mechanic. And for me it makes not really a difference, if I don't have to pay for it and it get's fixed anyway.
Unfortunately I got not enough time today to take some photos, but there will be a lot!! I promise.

Crash boom bang
Not only that the car still did not go on its journey down to the lake, it also got damaged on the way to Rotterdam. And that is the reason why it's not here.
But next week! I still don't give up hoping.

Next stop Rotterdam
Finally the car arrived in Rotterdam. Now it has to pass the customs and my dealer has to organize the transport. But I still don't know, when I will have a first look at it.
But I got some info about the car's history. The last owner was a female rapper. She inherited it from her brother, who was shot in L.A. That's where the car drove around at last.
She already did a lot of work to restore the car. But then she needed money to produce a new album. That's why she had to give it away.

Far far away
Just now I got the message, that my Mustang is still in Oakland, CA, waiting for another car to arrive so they can be shipped at the same time. But both should be here in Constance in Mai. I'd rather love to be there, too.
But meanwhile I took a lesson in car repairing or at least to get some knowledge about the technique and what to do, if the car breaks down.
